There is no reason for a mall crawler to have these and yes drilled is prone to cracking. Dimpled and slotted are not prone to this but again you dont need these. Brake fade happens when gasses build up under the pad in heavy braking and cause the pad to glide on the rotor surface like the puck in an air hockey game. Power Stop has the Drilled and Slotted Z36 and the Evolution that are an OEM replacement. Stop Tech has just Slotted but not a lot of people I know even know of these.... Slotted rotors will benefit the pads surface and maintain clean surface. If you are over heating the rotors and cracking them, only solution is better cooling.
